Hello Service Academy Families,
You are cordially invited to this year’s New England All Service
Academy Holly Ball on Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Seaport Hotel,
Boston, MA.
The Holly Ball is an evening for friends and family to gather
and honor our cadets who attend the US Military Academy, US Naval Academy,
US Coast Guard Academy, US Merchant Marine Academy and US Air Force Academy.
We liken it to a prom where parents and family can attend! It is a chance
to celebrate our cadets and midshipmen who have chosen to pursue a military
education and serve their country rather than attend a civilian
institution. The cadets do not need to bring a date and other family
members are welcome to attend. It is a very fun night of dining, dancing and
meeting other cadets and their families who share similar situations. Also,
as tradition dictates, there will be a photo op as all the firsties get to
cut a cake with their sabers!
Our speaker this year is Mr. Roger C. Stanton, Chief of the FBI’s
Counter IED Section. Mr. Stanton is a graduate of the Naval Academy and has
served in the special operations field his entire career.
This is always a fun night and if you have thought about attending in
the past and haven’t, this is the year to attend! An anonymous donor has
enabled us to lower the ticket prices by $25 per person. This year the
tickets are $30 for cadets and midshipmen and $40 for guests. Besides
dinner and dancing, we are also going to have a photo booth and chances for
the cadets and midshipmen to win some prizes. As always, you will have the
option to purchase professional photographs from Lincoln Studios too. It
should be a very fun night celebrating together.
