Congratulations to the Cadet Candidates for the USMA Class of 2025 on your recent appointment!  We encourage you to attend our Hail and Farewell, where Cadet Candidates and families meet each other and learn about:

  • Tips for preparing for R-Day and this summer’s training from current Cadets
  • Information on various WPPC-MA and USMA support networks
  • Upcoming summer USMA and WPPC-MA events

Cadet Candidates will also meet their 50-Year affiliate class (USMA Alum from the class of 1975).  This is a West Point tradition that pairs the alumni class with the incoming class.  Over the next four years, graduates from the Class of 1975 will accompany the Class of 2025 at significant Academy events. The 50-year Affiliation Program has become an indispensable element in the development of cadets and strengthening the Long Gray Line.

We look forward to seeing you!

Cadet Candidate Tip: As the WPPC-MA began preparations for this Hail/Farewell event, several cadets told us how helpful it was to meet other cadets from Massachusetts, prior to reporting to R-Day.  Via the distribution list used on this invitation, or while meeting candidates at the Hail & Farewell event, please consider reaching out to other MA cadets for a pre R-Day activity.  Past activities that have worked well are rucks/hikes in local parks.  A ruck is a great way to establish some West Point friends while getting in shape for the summer at the same time.
